Shiatsu at Work

What is Shiatsu Massage?

Shiatsu is a Japanese style of acupressure, using Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture points and massage techniques to help promote circulation and relaxation.

Shiatsu promotes productivity, attendance, morale, and employee retention. It's great for stress, headaches, neck and shoulder pain, low back pain, repetitive use injuries and more.

Shiatsu as a wellness benefit

As an employee benefit, Shiatsu can be taken as an expense, offering a tax savings to the employer. It is a welcomed and appreciated wellness benefit to all who use it.

How does it work?

All bodywork is done through clothing and it is easy to bring into the workplace. We require the use of a room, a designated person to schedule sessions, and a two hour minimum per visit. Sessions can be as short as 15 min, or any length you need. Employee contributions are encouraged and the company will be invoiced for hours of work. Practitioners are certified, insured, and provide all necessary equipment. We can use a table, which offers the most full range of treatment options or a chair style massage, which offers the smallest footprint.

We also offer special event sessions along with the option for weekly, bi-monthly, monthly or occasional special programs.

Current rates are $100/hour (plus state and local sales tax.)

When I come in to see you, I'm always wound up tight as a knot - and when I leave it feels like I'm floating on a cloud!
